In December 2018, Florida Housing’s Board of Directors adopted the Portfolio Preservation Action Plan (Preservation Plan), a toolbox of data-driven strategies and solutions to help Florida Housing preserve quality affordable housing by promoting the recapitalization of aging properties in our portfolio.

The Preservation Plan allows Florida Housing’s programs to be flexible and adaptive to changing conditions. In response to the dynamic affordable housing market and developments in the operational infrastructure of Florida Housing, the Preservation Plan was revised in 2026 to meet current needs.
