Florida Housing Employee Benefits
Florida Housing offers its employees a very competitive package of benefits and support that includes the following:
- We are paid biweekly and observe 11 paid holidays each year. Employees earn paid vacation, sick and personal leave.
- After three months of employment, Florida Housing begins contributing 8% of full time employee's salary to a 401 retirement plan and employees can begin contributing to a 457 plan. Additionally, Florida Housing will match half of what an employee contributes to their 457 retirement plan, up to an additional 3%.
- We embrace casual dress and flexible work schedules.
- A tuition assistance program is available after 6 months of employment.
- Our employees have 24 hour access to an employee assistance program for guidance and assistance.
- Generous insurance benefits are provided as follows:
- Health and dependent care pre-tax accounts.
- Health Insurance - Florida Housing pays approximately 88% of the cost for employees’ health insurance. Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Capital Health Plan are offered. Both plans provide top of the line coverage to employees and their family at a competitive cost.
- Dental Insurance - Florida Housing pays half the premium for the dental plan
- Life Insurance – Florida Housing pays for employee life insurance including accidental death and dismemberment. Term life insurance is also available for the employee and family at competitive rates.
- Short and Long-term disability insurance paid for each employee.
