Asset Management & Compliance Information

The Asset Management & Compliance (AM&C) Department is responsible for monitoring owners’ compliance with regulatory documents for multifamily rental developments funded by Florida Housing. Monitoring includes onsite management review of tenant files, administrative procedures and physical inspection of the development, conducted by compliance monitors under contract with Florida Housing. Federal and state noncompliance is reported to owners, management personnel, the Internal Revenue Service, and is posted on Florida Housing’s website. In addition to management reviews, AM&C also works with owners of multifamily rental developments with regards to Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plans, exempt units, management company selection, utility allowances and the Annual Owner’s Certification (AOC-1). Compliance Training Workshops are also conducted several times a year throughout the state for owners and management personnel.

AM&C also oversees compliance reviews of local city and county governments participating in the State Housing Initiatives Program (SHIP).
